Great personal experience

A great tour with a really knowledgeable guide, Paweł. What was especially memorable were the stories about the individual heroes from the war. The touring company had a technical problem when I bought the tour so they didn’t meet me at the appointed time, but they contacted me later to reschedule later the same day. It turned out really well.

Marek was our guide. He was very punctual, thorough and detailed in all the explanations given. He replied to all our questions and curiosities we had. Another good thing was that even if we booked a very early morning tour, they could ccomodate our request. Unfortunately, since we booked the tour on a Saturday morning, we couldn't visit the cimitery and the Synagogue.

Great Tour

There is not much left of the Warsaw Ghetto to see. If you did a tour by yourself and simply read the posted signs you would be very disappointed. However, the Jewish HeritageTour gave you an insight into Poland’ s Jewish history and what life was like in the ghetto before the uprising, during it, and the tragic aftermath. If you want an historical and may I add interesting perspective, take this tour.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Martin our guide was very friendly and knew his stuff. I didn't realise the Ghetto area was so large. Was glad the tour was by car as it was freezing. Loved the Retro Fiat. Recommended it to friends who went the following week. They enjoyed it too. Highly recommend and made our trip to Warsaw extra special.

Our tour started with Martim picking us up at our hotel in his retro Fiat - which was fun to tool around Warsaw. He took us to the Jewish cemetery and pointed out some of the more historic graves, the bullet holes from the Warsaw uprising, and the monuments to fallen heroes. Unfortunately, there was a mysterious package outside the cemetery and the police wouldn't allow us back into the car. We had to walk a mile out of our way to cross the police barrier to get to the car. Martim, graciously added time to our tour so we wouldn't miss anything important based on this unforeseen delay. He is extremely knowledgeable and cheerful, which made the time fly by as we learned about the history of the Jewish Ghetto, the fateful uprising, and points of interest that we were able to go back and explore on our own - for example the excellent Polin Museum. It is important to note that much of Warsaw's Jewish history is poorly marked, difficult to find, and having a guide saved us a lot of time finding some obscure locations, besides having a ready fount of knowledge to tap into made our tour so much more interesting. He took us into the burned-out shells of the ghetto buildings still standing and readily answered all our questions. Overall, a great experience, and really gave our trip to Warsaw a dimension we would never have been able to recreate for ourselves.

Our guide,Marcin Martin picked us up at our hotel in Warsaw at the scheduled time and took us on a tour in Warsaw in his retro Fiat during which he showed us many historical places accompanied by his informative and interesting narrations. One of the deepest impressions left on us was the old building where Jews lived before and during the WWII. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and charming. He told us about the difficult part of Polish and Warsaw's history with a deep knowledge and understanding.. Thank you very much for the great personal tour and for the pictures that you have sent us after the tour. Ann and David from San Diego, California, USA

Our guide,Marcin Martin picked us up at our hotel in the Retro Fiat. He took around the sites of the former Ghetto, including a former shabby tenamemt which housed hundreds of Warsaw's Jewish population. It was an eye opening experience. We also were nearby where a former factory stands with boarded up windows forming part of the Ghetto walls. There were many other historic sites of that horrific time visited including the gathering place where trains waited to ship off the inhabitants to the concentration camps, the large Jewish Cemetery with the wall of broken tombstones and various monuments commemorating this sad time. Marcin also took us to the only Synagogue that survived this horrible period. It was beautiful inside. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. His explanations and the book of photographs he had made clear the history of this period. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wishes to gain a full understanding of what happened here.
