Getting from Venice Marco Polo Airport to your hotel or private residence can be complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. This convenient boat transfer (for a minimum of two people) takes all the hassle out of renting a car or paying for a taxi boat after a flight.

Just enter your details when you book, and your shared transfer is confirmed instantly. When you land, show your voucher to the driver and hop inside the boat. Website stated that the shared water taxi would drop us off directly at our canal front hotel & that didn’t happen. Instead we were dropped off with heavy luggage at the very crowded Realto stop. Not good.

We had booked and paid for our boat taxi back to Venice airport they said they would let us know when and where we would be collected 24hrs before our flight home no one contacted us so I emailed them then they told me the details we needed we were there 20 minutes early,35 minutes later we had to contact them as no taxi arrived the person on the phone instantly asked if we were there early enough suggesting the taxi had left without us but luckily another taxi driver verified with the person on the phone that we had been there waiting it was all a bit stressful and not sure I would choose this service again.

There were no problems getting to the taxi port , however there was no signage on which site to stay on. I asked the ticket agent and his words were dock 7&8??. So as we waited a guy came by and asked us where we were going and I showed him our tickets on my phone. He told me I had to walk back to the airport and get actual tickets and then come back. ??? I tried to call the. Umber on my email and could only send an email. There was no reply. Then another guy cam by and said the taxi only comes every half hour and to just wait. Well finally a taxi came and I showed him our tickets and I don’t know if he spoke much English but we were on his list so we were able to get in the boat and he took us to our hotel. The actual ride was great just not the checkin process.

The BEST way to get from airport to your hotel

This is quickest and easiest way to get from Marco Polo airport to your hotel. It is a shared water taxi, so quite a bit cheaper than a private water taxi. So much simpler than the train or a crowded water bus, where you'll have to schlep your own luggage. The taxi driver assisted with our bags and dropped us off meters from our hotel. It was seamless. Highly recommend this service.

Essential and best way to arrive to Venice. Must collect ticket and directions at counter 71 which is under signpost 92 turning immediatel left coming out of arrivals. They leave you at the canal stop nearest to your hotel, you will understand why it can't be at the doorstep when you get to know the city.

Fabulous service. Our flight was delayed by over an hour. However they were still expecting us. The lady at desk 71 was very helpful and we were in a water taxi within 20 mins. We then had a lovely ride through Venice before being dropped very close to our hotel. Perfect start to our holiday!

Overall good experience. The only problem I had was that I couldn't contact the tour operator at the water transport point. I had to speak to someone who knew the tour operator and was able to contact them and let me know when the boat would come for pick up. For Viator, please can you include the name of the company and their contact details when a reservation confirmation is done. This really helps in seeing the information upfront.

Although the transfer itself was great. The instructions for arrival and where to go could have been a lot clearer. We asked several people for assistance and some didn't even recognise our booking. Having walked 10 mins to the water taxis we were told we should have picked up a ticket in the terminal building. This wasn't clear on our booking.
