KELLY TOURS IS AWEFUL! Only Captain Derrick's Dolphin Cruise is worth it

, May 2021
Please note this is not a reflection on Captain Derrick's Cruise which was exceptional. This star is based on Kelly tours. It was the most mixed up Miss I have ever dealt with. First we get at the location they tell us to go to and they say we have to wait for them to get there because that's not the location that they leave from. Then we're picked up. You're taken through Savannah and they give you a small tour. You're a dropped off for your lunch which the original location was closed so they took us to Tybee Beach and there's nothing there to eat. We ended up having to eat at wet Willies which are the rudest people, the wait left us with only a few minutes to swallow down our food before catching the bus. The food at what Willie's was all right but it was ridiculously priced at about $20 for a burger and fries Plus a drink. The only drinks that they have are frozen drinks alcoholic or exactly one drink that's non-alcoholic. We swallowed on our food and get back on the bus. May I say the bus driver drove like a bat out of you nowhere and she constantly was running over bumps at top speed as well as the side brim. Our next stop was the dolphin cruise which was very enjoyable thanks to Captain Derek and Connor. We then we're supposed to go to the beach. We're taken to the beach and told that we have quite a distance to walk to where we have to be picked up even though they were able to drop us off at a closer part to the beach. Nothing was open to get a drink, and even the vending machines only took money not cards! We are dropped off with about 30 minutes do you have any time at the beach another words walking across the parking lot to get to the beach sticking our toes in the water and then heading back to be able to get to the bus that is parked at least 10 minutes walk from the beach. This was a complete waste of time and very annoying! The tour is terribly put together by Kelly tours. I highly recommend you find another way to be able to take Captain Derek's dolphin tour which is exceptional excellent! I personally will never ever take another tour with Kelly tours!

Not my fav...

This was not my favorite tour, through no fault of anyone specific. I felt an hour and a half at the restaurant was far too long. We certainly saw many dolphins while on the boat, but the experience was rather campy. Maybe okay for a family outing with kiddos, not so much for adults ...

That boat can certainly be an adventure! What better way to spend a day than out on the water watching dolphins play! The team at Captain Derek's are real pros on spotting them. Thanks for sharing!

We had a very enjoyable afternoon. We saw lots of dolphins. You might want to bring a jacket or sweater, it can get a little chilly on the boat.

We are so glad you had an enjoyable afternoon with us! Its amazing just how many dolphins live in our intercoastal waterways. Thank you also for your suggestion!

Well worth it -

It was a beautiful day and the dolphins were out to play. Our bus driver was informative, and boat crew knowledgable and fun. We were able to stop at the beach briefly, long enough to walk in the surf. The only note of caution, lunch was at a crab shack - if you are vegetarian and shellfish allergic, the only thing to eat is dessert (which was delicious).
icon Response from Host , Apr 2021
Don't you just love a perfect day for dolphins? We sure do! We are so pleased you enjoyed your adventure with us and your dessert too! We are sorry to hear that you experienced an issue due to dietary restrictions. Thank you for your feedback. We will pass this along to our partners at The Original Crab Shack.
