Our guide, Julie, was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. It was really fun being able to see and find our way around the historic Savannah district for the purpose of tasting a bit of Savannah’s food culture. Our tour was full and we had a great time sharing the experience with a great bunch of people!

Juli, the young lady doing the tour, was phenomenal! She was very knowledgeable and was for upbeat and interesting to listen to. The food was superb. I loved the honey taste and the shrimp & grits were the best but all of the other things were good as well. Would definitely recommend this and would do it again if I had the time.

The food tour was good. A lot of food; fairly good variety. A little bit of history. Always do food tours in every city visit. Good value. This one didn't include alcohol but could purchase.

Love the tasting.

We took our granddaughter to a food tasting and this was great. The first place we went to the Andaz Hotel and the restaurant ha>ST of the food we ate. I do not like grits, but they had shrimp and grits, but I am allergic to seafood, and shell fish, so they made one without the shrimp. The taste was sooooooooo good. I wished this was the last stop and not the first.

Disappointed

I have been on many food tours and this one was not my favorite. I felt the group was too big so it was hard for us to hear the guide because guests were talking. I also felt the food choices weren’t great or related to “the south”. There was also not a lot of history shared. In past food tours the guide sat with us while we ate and shared history of the restaurant or the city and this guide did not do that. overall it was ok, not great.

Thank you for your review. The tour you chose was not designed and not advertised to show you food of "the south", but food of Savannah, which is distinct and different. We want to showcase how special our food is, not how similar it is to everything else south of the Mason-Dixon Line. However, we do offer a "southern" taste tour for those not interested in our unique history. We will work on our marketing so it is more obvious for similar future guests. Thanks for the opportunity to address this concern.

The quantity and quality of food was disappointing. No water was provided at 2 of the stops. Another stop didn't allow the tour to eat inside even though there was plenty of space and it was raining! Our guide was friendly but overall the experience was lacking and I wouldn't recommend.
icon Response from Host , Oct 2021
Thanks for your feedback. Though we have to disagree on the quantity, quality and the history, as well as the tour size. Our tours are capped at 12 guests (and is advertised as such). Not being able to eat inside at one of the restaurants had nothing to do with them being busy, but them not open to the public at that time . . . so getting to enjoy their food at all should have been a treat (and I can't do anything about the weather). But thank you for the opportunity to address your critique.
