Our guide Cynthia was amazing. She grew up in China Town and knew the area very well. Lots of good information and more food then most could eat. Best Peking duck we’ve ever had.

Learn a lot about the history/culture of Chinatown in San Francisco, past, current and going forward.. Isabel was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and accommodating. We tasted a vary of dim sum as well as tea. I recommend this tour for its location, chance to see its colorful streets and variety of food.

Hooray for Chinese Tea!

The best part was visiting Vital Tealeaf and learning about Chinese tea from Mai. The tea tasting was so much fun and delicious! Loved trying the moon cakes (yum, yum) and Cynthia, our guide, made sure there was vegetarian food for us to eat. The only reason I gave the tour a 4* rating was we were hoping to have a few minutes to shop in an herbal shop. We wanted to buy some herbs. We only walked through. The reason I booked this excursion over some others was it said we would visit ( not walk through!) a traditional herb shop.

Sylvia did a fantastic job of leading our group and explaining some great facts about Chinatown. It was a great mix of history along with tasting the different foods of China. Everywhere we stopped was very interesting and enlightening. We could not have been more pleased with our experience today and look forward to booking again for a different food tour.

Brian is an incredible tour guide. He knows so much about Chinatown and led our tour with professionalism and humor. My husband, two daughters and I all learned so much about this fascinating place and ate some AMAZING foods (the Lotus flower moon cakes were unbelievable, the fresh-made fortune cookies were unexpectedly delicious, and there were delectable onion rolls, chow mein, dumplings, and the list goes on). Brian is excellent and we are so glad to have this memory from our family vacation.
