Great Way to see Reykavik, especially in poor weather or if you have poor mobility
Amy_F
, Jun 2022
I really enjoyed my bus tour of Reykjavik. Our bus driver/tour guide was knowledgeable, interesting, and amusing. I have limited mobility, and the tour and operator were very accommodating to load my folding manual wheelchair into the back of the bus and pull it out at the places I chose to disembark. There *are*, however, three steps onto the bus and no lift, so this is not an accessible outing for non-ambulatory wheelchair users. For me, this was a perfect way to get to see Reykjavik; I was able to see large portions of the city despite the fact that I cannot walk far, nor can I push my chair up the hills of the city. Our guide had great history, stories, details, and information, and I really was fascinated by and enjoyed learning about the history, politics, and culture of both Reykjavik and Iceland. I do wish I had chosen to pull my wheelchair out of the bus and stay longer at the Hallgrimskirkja, but it was my choice to walk and, thus, it limited my time there...but it did mean I got to go back with the bus. Really great experience, and a great way to get a glimpse of what one might wish to go back and look at more closely.

The City Tour of Reykjavik was wonderful. I thought the highlights were the Hallgrimskirkja Norwegian Church, the President's residence, the Perlan Museum, and Old Town. It was all very interesting, and our guide was wonderful. Thank you for a memorable tour.

The tour operator was very nice and helpful but do not like walking blocks away to get our van. You stand there waiting with no place to sit.

It is a better way to see the main attractions of city., it is a small city of just about 150,000. Very neat clean with best natured people of all the European, American or Asian places visited.

A great way to see the outskirts of town. Stops were the President’s House, Perlan, the Concert Hall ending at the Lutheran Church. From there you walk the old town center or return to your pick up spot. Christina was our driver and guide. Clear and informative. Efficient little trip.

This is a very nice tour. We saw most of the city and learned a great deal about it. Would recommend as a way to familiarize oneself with the city.

Not worth it.

We spent a lot of time seeing things that just weren't that great. The guide was good. It would be worth for someone who wanted to get an idea of what there is to see and then enough time to go back and see those things that you liked.

We had a wonderful tour guide and you could tell that he loves his job of showcasing his city. He was very caring with my friend who is disabled and helped her on and off of our tour bus. Well worth the money....

Technically there was nothing wrong with this tour; the guide and driver were very nice. There just wasn't much to see. In the past we have learned so much from city tours so we were disappointed. Wouldn't do this one again.

This was a wonderful way to spend our first day after a long plane trip. We were a group of 6 people in a mini bus with a terrific guide/driver. We give a strong recommendation for others to do the same.

Great Intro to Reykjavik

, Jun 2019
We expected to drive by several places and stop at 2 or 3. We actually stopped at 5 or 6 and had just the right amount of time for each. Took the tour in the a.m. and then did the Hop On/Hop Off in the afternoon, knowing just where we wanted to spend more time.

Excellent Tour and Driver/Guide

The tour itself was interesting and informative, but it was the driver/guide who made it great. He was pleasant, accomodating and knowledgeable. Originally German but could speak English extremely well.
