awe-inspiring and fun

This tour was exceptional. The beauty and spaciousness of the landscape opening up to the majesty of the Glacier Lagoon, and the wonderful strangeness of Diamond Beach. I would do this tour again. Bravo to the bus driver (it was a long long day!) and our tour guide: funny, always available, informative.

Waterfalls, black sand beaches, diamond beaches, and blue glaciers with the dream team
Carrie_B

There’s a reason they call them the “Dream Team.” The trip started bright and early took us into another world for about 14 hours. Waterfalls, black sand beaches, diamond beaches, and the glaciers. Simon, the guide, was particularly amazing at timing each part of the journey, giving us more time when we needed it or moving us on. There were parts of this trip that would not have been the same without his wisdom. Knowing what to buy: pancakes; knowing what to wear and when. Originally, I did not buy the boat ticket. Again, Simon gave a great metaphor that made me realize how stupid I was not to go on the water. He took care to ask where the people in the group were from to interact with us better. The timing was perfect for this trip and as a bonus we saw puffins in Vik. Dreamy.

Amazing experience

Excellente day trip with our guide Mr Howser from Bustravel Iceland. We were bathing in Icelandic history and Sagas while driving through a beautiful landscape with stops at gullfoss and other waterfalls. Jokulsarlon is an amazing and unique place, what ever the weather might reserve you. And so is diamond beach. I highly recommend this trip.

Icebergs

Another must-do in the land of fire and ice is to see the icebergs floating in Jökulsárlón, maybe a seal swimming or just laying on the ice too and then have a walk on the diamond beach where the contrast of shining pieces of ice glittering on the black sand of the beach will give You some of the best foto opportunities.

Great ride. With lots of stops for review photos. Waterfalls, lava fields, cozy places in the mountains. Well, of course, the Ice Lagoon itself. It is fantastic ! Special thanks to the guide and driver of our trip, Howser. He loves his job and is happy to share his knowledge. You will not regret if you choose this trip. Because the impressions with you will remain for life. And you, I'm sure. fall in love with this country. Vika

The glacier lagoon

I listened to the others reviews saying what you see on this tour in unlike anything you’ve ever seen - and they’re right - the glacier lagoon was incredible. However the tour itself was just “meh.” Our tour guide was nice, but constantly repeated the same fact 3, 4 times in a row. It was a long drive one the bus just to see the glacier lagoon. If i had to do it over again I would have gone in a small group or a Jeep. The other tours we did were small groups and we were able to make more stops along the way. This was way too structured for my liking. But if that’s your thing, go for it!

Superb lagoon. Pity about the coach!

The lagoon and the stops on the way were superb, but all this was spoiled by an unbearably hot coach, making for a very, very uncomfortable 10 hour drive. The party on this trip was mainly Asian and apparently the tour staff said they have to keep the heating on for them! Which left the minority of European and USA travellers in melt down. Would recommend the trip if the coaches are not kept like a furnace. I did not think I would be coming to Iceland and be so hot!

Wonder Tour

We spent a wonderful day with Bustravel Iceland (booked through Viator) for this Glacier Lagoon tour. The pickup was right on time. Our bus driver and tour guide, Heigi, was well organized and experienced and made our long bus ride very comfortable. In mid November daylight was short. Heigi tried to make as many stops as possible for us to take breathtaking photos while getting us into the Glacier Lagoon in time. The views of the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach were surreal and unbelievable and we enjoyed our tour very much. I would recommend this bus tour service whilst in Iceland.
