Incredible Tikal experience

My wife and I visited Tikal using GEM trips. Our guide’s name was Erik . He met us right on time at 3:15 AM for the sunrise trip to Tikal When we arrived at the park he provided breakfast as stated, and we began our walk to see the sunrise at Temple IV. Along the way we followed a path through many archaeological sites that he spoke about with extensive knowledge. After the sun came up we left the viewing site and began our trip through the national Park. He spoke with great knowledge about each of the temples and we hiked to the top of many. He left plenty of time for us to take photos and rest occasionally. At the end of our trip which we had lunch at the main restaurant near the park entrance. At the end of the day after lunch we drove back to Flores. Erik has extensive knowledge about cultural archaeological and biological resources in the park.. In addition he is an excellent birder and we were able to spend several hours during the day looking at various bird species throughout the park. We saw lots of wildlife as well. All in all the trip was excellent! We would use Erik and GEM trips again if we
wanted to visit Tikal or other parks
I would recommend anybody to use GEM trips and Erick especially.
