Don’t miss this amazing place

Wonderful to see such an amazing site, and get to walk around and up and over it. Great guide, with interesting info on the buildings and history and also the local flora.
Unforgettable experience

We had an excelente time . Our guide was Jorge. He was very nice and knowledgeable. An unforgettable experience!
Great tour (but a 2 & 1/2 hour wait to enter)

Our Zapotec tour guide was awesome-super knowledgeable and clearly cared about the ruins. The ruins were phenomenal. But 4 stars because this company really should let people know that they’re going to be waiting for 2 and half hours to enter the ruins because of Covid crowd restrictions. You arrive at 7:30 and enter at the earliest at 10. This may be old fashioned but I would have brought a book (and a coffee) if I had known. Recommend putting this info on your site.

Awesome experience

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was a great speaker. She kept us engaged. We were very accommodated in that we received way more on the tour than expected. She also took care to do tour in both English and Spanish, and picked us up/dropped us off at our desired location. I am in great awe of Monte Alban and Oaxaca. Book this tour!
A Must

If you’re looking for a tour guide, Antonio is your man. He is extremely polite, knowledgeable, and professional. You can tell his heart is in this. He sincerely loves his culture and it’s evident through his sharing of local history. He is flawless in transitioning between his English and Spanish to accommodate all persons on his tours. He loves to answer questions.

Great tour guide! Very informative trip! Wouldn’t recommend for people with bad knees. Lots of steps, which we didn’t mind. Loved it!
Monte Alban is a must see!
, Mar 2021
We booked this tour the night before and found the whole experience very easy and convenient. Monte Alban was amazing and our tour guide, Antonio, was a wealth of knowledge. His English is excellent, although sometimes difficult to understand with the accent plus face mask. Regardless, we leaned so much about this incredible place, it’s history, and inhabitants. I highly recommend this tour!

Hello! Amy, we are glad to know that you enjoy the tour, thank you very much for sharing your experience
Cool place, average guide
, Jan 2021
The ruins themselves were quite amazing and really enjoyed the mountain and seeing them in person. The guide we had through Viator seemed a bit jaded. He has been doing these tours for 40 years and it was obvious. He had little to no excitement or enthusiasm, he didn’t have any sense of humor and was not very engaging. He was telling us so much at the beginning of the tour about stuff unrelated to monte alban — it was cool and interesting to know but he lost my attention because of all the detail that he was giving in a non engaging way. If someone asked a question, he took 10 minutes to answer it, and at times seemed even annoyed with the question. He’s clearly extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history but was going through the motions.

An excellent cultural experience in Oaxaca
, Mar 2020
Our guide, Antonio, with 40 years experience and Zapotec heritage, provided a tremendous amount of information about the site. The small size of the group made for excellent opportunities for Q&A. He was also sensitive to our adjusting to hear and altitude in the pace of the visit.
Great tour

Wow! Our guide Daniel was amazing! He is so knowledgeable and educated... he made this day to Monte Alban perfect.
