Meet your small group at your chosen departure time and hop into your 4-seat Kawasaki Teryx 4. After a safety briefing, slip behind the wheel or take one of the passenger seats. Within 15 minutes of Moab, you are at the Hell's Revenge Trail, full of steep ridges and roller-coaster terrain

This activity will end right where it started.
Meet your experienced guide in the morning, afternoon or about two hours before sunset, and prepare to traverse the slickrock terrain of Hell's Revenge near central Moab on this off-roading 4x4 adventure.

After a safety briefing, slip behind the wheel in your 4-seater Kawasaki Teryx 4, a UTV. Follow in a small-group caravan to the Hell's Revenge Trail, located just 10 minutes from Moab. Aptly named, this roller-coaster route includes steep inclines such as Devil’s Backbone. You’ll traverse the ridge before you descend into Lake Michigan, named for the water that collects in a low point in the narrow canyon.

Stop near Lion’s Back to find fossilized dinosaur tracks before continuing on to Negro Bill Canyon (Echo Canyon), which boasts eye-popping views of towering sandstone cliffs above an oasis of cottonwood and willow trees.

Glimpse the La Sal Mountains and cast your gaze over Abyss Canyon then motor off-road to an overlook above the green ribbon of the Colorado River — a view enhanced by the sunset (if option selected) — before your 2.5-hour tour ends in Moab.

We survived hells revenge!

Our tour guide, Jesse, was extremely knowledgeable and, by all accounts, fearless! I’m pretty sure he could run the terrain in anything with wheels and with his eyes closed! Definitely a high intensity ride!

Incredibly fun adventure. My husband and I did this tour last year & had so much fun that we booked again this year bringing the entire family, including our grandkids ages 3,8 & 12. The views are amazing, the trails are challenging, but are safe for beginners to this sport. This is a “must do” for your trip to Moab!

Great tour riding and driving on the slick rocks and seeing beautiful views. The drive is VERY scary at times and whoever drives better not be afraid of heights. At times I was terrified driving but it was only for short distances. Our guide Carter was terrific! Very well worth the money and adventure!!

Fun ATV tour, but bring your own goggles
Molly_M
, May 2022
The hell’s revenge tour was a fun adventure - full of thrilling rides up and down the canyon. Our guide was fun and provided great tips along the route. However, we wish our tour operator would have provided goggles and gators (as we saw many other groups do). These would have been very helpful during the high winds we experienced. While the wind cannot be avoided, it felt as if we did not have adequate protection for our eyes while other companies took that extra step to do so. I had to rinse my eyes out several times with water, and when I returned to my hotel they were still burning and extremely irritated and bloodshot. Not a fun ending to the tour. Some protective equipment would be very helpful for future tours.

Our tour guide Ben was great, super chill and confidence inspiring. Fun way to experience the off-roading Moab is known for, and the scenery is great too. Must do if you’re in Moab. 10/10

Amazing experience! Definitely adventurous without being dangerous. Ben was an awesome guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, and safe! Make sure you have someone who is a confident driver behind the wheel, especially on the steep parts.

My children and I greatly appreciated the friendliness and awesome adventure, highly recommend it! The staff were great, the vehicle safe, and the drive totally awesome

Thank you so much! We are proud to have such a great staff, thank you for the kind words. The UTVs are the way to do these trails for sure, especially with kiddos! They are so much safer in something designed for this terrain; my dad used to take us out on these trails in his rickety old soft-top jeep with no seatbelts and it was purely terrifying. UTVs are designed specifically for rock-crawling, and as far as I'm aware they're among the safest vehicles you can take your kids rock-crawling through terrain like this in.

All around amazing. Carter was a great guide. Would highly recommend. Anytime of the day works. Wear sunglasses.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Thank you! Yes, absolutely wear sunglasses. We don't require them because they're not technically a "necessity", but we do highly recommend them because they are such a simple comfort. Who knows, they might help you enjoy the spectacular views or block a gust of wind from blowing sand into your eyes. Excellent recommendation!
