Take a full-day detour from Perth to discover the many delights of Margaret River and the southwest. After morning pickup at your hotel or a central meeting point, travel aboard a comfortable coach on the drive south. Along the way, stop to stretch your legs and enjoy morning tea (own expense) at Busselton Jetty, the Southern Hemisphere’s longest wooden jetty.

Farther on, settle into a table at Bootleg Brewery for craft beer and cider samplings and a gourmet platter lunch. Next, taste some of the region’s famous wine at the award-winning Sandalford Winery, which was established in Western Australia in 1840. Stroll around the picturesque grounds and purchase a bottle to take home if you like.

In the afternoon, explore Margaret River’s natural attractions. Admire spectacular limestone formations and learn about the area’s ancient geologic history on a guided tour of Mammoth Cave. Drive through the scenic and serene Boranup Forest to Australia’s most southwesterly point, marked by the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. See where the Southern and Indian Oceans converge, and spot native wildlife such as sea lions, dolphins and rock parrots on a heritage trail walk.

Circle back to the township of Margaret River and enjoy a bit of free time to browse shops along the main street. On the drive back to Perth, stop for dinner at a local restaurant (own expense), before your full-day tour concludes with hotel drop-off in the late evening.

Long day covering a lot of sights
Helen_H
, Jun 2021
Tour is VERY long! You cover a lot of ground but it means spending a lot of time on the coach (40-60mins between destinations). Morning and early afternoon was great but after Cape Leeuwin lighthouse we were dropped at Margaret river village in the dark and it was suggested we go to Coles for 40mins as it was the only thing open. The ‘dinner at a local restaurant’ on the way back to Perth is actually a stop at a roadhouse where dinner options consist of KFC or a pie/sausage roll from the service station.

Hi Helen_H, Thank you for taking the time to review our Margaret River Region tour and it is naturally very disappointing to hear your feedback. Unfortunately the Margaret River Region is a large area to cover and as a result there are extended amounts of time in the coach to reach these different attractions. We hope during this time the coach was a comfortable experience and our coach captains provided great knowledge of the region. We apologise for the last stops of the tour and we will look into revising the itinerary to maintain the standard that all other stops provided. We apologise again for your experience and hope you enjoyed your time in Western Australia.

The Margaret river trip was by a comfortable coach and friendly driver, he provided beautiful commentary of the areas visited. It was full day but covered so much and we had a great day. The trip was well organised. The included lunch was good.

Very poor
Geoff_T
, Apr 2021
The 1st part of the day was ok. At lunch some people miss out as wrong number was given. Poor service and luck of beer for all guests and failure for a soft drink for those that don't drink beer. The drive home no place to stop for dinner. The diver was fig and the coach keep running off the road

Thank you for your feedback from your recent tour to the Margaret River region with ADAMS. We have received similar feedback from this day regarding one of our drivers and we will look to re-train him on the company expectations; which have become a little rusty since 10 months of touring hibernation due to COVID19. We will also look to contacting the lunch venue as you should of been offered an alternate drink with your meal. It is great to hear you enjoyed the first half of your day, and trust you enjoyed the Margaret River region. Thank you again for taking the time to offer feedback and allowing us to improve our standards.

Great way to see a lot of this wonderful west coast without driving. Including small towns, coastline, wine tasting, brewery lunch caves and the tip of the land with impressive lighthouse and convergence of two oceans! Comfortable coach and informative commentary Recommended!

Great Day Out
EdnaJane_W
, Mar 2020
We had a lovely day out and can't fault the drivers knowledge of the area. Have to say the caves and lighthouse were the two highlights of the trip for us but would defiantly recommend this trip to all. Well worth the money. Only one little down but not the tour operators faulty lunch at the brewer was very good a bit too much and really not suitable for a vegetarian.

Great day !! Our guide Evan took great care of our little group (only 9) and had lots of things to tell us all the way ! Not only on the visits, but also about the different places we were passing through. Great way to explore around Perth if you're on your own, and want to see different things in only one day. The stop for lunch is nice.
