Fun Ice Walk
John_B
, Aug 2022
Great activity. The guide was right where the online reservations said. She was very professional, all equipment ready. The hike and ice walk were fun and the guide was informative and entertaining. Walking on the glacier was surprisingly easy with the crampons provided and looking into crevasses was amazing.

Nick was a great guide. He was very nice and helpful. He was also willing to be nice to my two kids (11 & 9). As a result, my kids had a blast.

Fantastic guided tour of the glacier in a group of 12 with Jason. Very informative commentary as we stopped off at various points. One of the high points of our icefields parkway tour!

Awesome glacier-walk

Our guide was superb! Our half-day glacier walk was the high point of our 10 days in Banff-Jasper NPs. This experience was so good, I repent not going for the full day trip. The glacier has receded about 1 km in the last 40 years, and walking on it might not be possible after another 40 years. So, do it before it disappears.

Experience of a lifetime

This was an experience of a lifetime for us. Corin was an amazing guide and has been doing this for a long time now so he knows his stuff. He gave ample time for everyone to climb up until the base of the glacier. He explained a lot of cool facts about glaciers. I would definitely recommend this over the glacier ride on those special buses. They take you to the base of the glacier where you can’t see much of the amazing features of a glacier

Small group, away from the crowds, family friendly experience. The walk is of mild physical difficulty for people in a reasonble shape. Very informative guide who explained many facts about glaciers.

My guide was great! Wish I remembered her name but I added a photo of her. She was knowledgeable and very welcoming! She made walking on the glacier very memorable by adding historical background and scientific information in her guided tour. I would definitely recommend this glacier walk!!

How friendly and professional our guide Mel performed her job! The whole experience was excellent. One must be able to walk up a steep hill for about 90 minutes.

Had a great time even though (or maybe because) it was a complete whiteout in mid June. Corin was a great guide and we felt safe. Thanks again!

Hi Amy, I’m glad you still enjoyed your experience despite the snow and bad weather. Even in bad weather the experience is a memorable one! Cheers, Corin

Hiking on Athabasca with Troy

Troy Lee is an excellent tour guide. The hike was steep in places. We took breaks throughout as Troy shared information about the glacier. We forgot our water bottle and Troy lent us his. The glacier water was spectacular! We enjoyed our adventure hiking on a glacier.

Amazing glacier trip!
Dennis_C
, Jun 2022
Our guide, Nick, wonderfully kept the group together and safe. He was also incredibly thoughtful of individual needs while traveling as a group. Nick showed the geological evidence trail as we group of “glacier detectives” moved up the glacier bed. It was surreal being on a glacier! Learning the glacier lifecycle was fascinating! The views were unworldly! This is an experience all should enjoy.

Our Guide Adam was very informative and helpful. The hike to the glacier was easy and doable even if one isn’t super fit but will need some level of fitness as the hike has few incline.
