The tour without a tour
, Jan 2021
It’s not a tour or even a self guided tour as we were given no information to take with us of the history of the lighthouse etc. beautiful location and beautiful views though. If you loved the show, Round the Twist, you’ll get a buzz out of visiting their lighthouse.

Hi Jenny, We're sorry if you were disappointed. The experience you booked is described as : 'self -guided Tour: Discover the spectacular views from the balcony and the amazing stories of the lighthouse'. You will have seen interpretive signage on each of the six landings describing the shipwrecks, the location and geography, the lighthouse keepers and locals of Aireys Inlet, communication methods of the time including flags and morse code, rescue techniques, and how the lantern operates; there are some 19 wonderful old historic photographs and the guides at the top and bottom provide interpretation to people who show an interest. We are always happy to chat with visitors like yourself who would like to find out more about the lighthouse. Why not return some time and we'd be very happy to chat with you about the history.
