Beautiful day and penguins too

Les was great. I wound up being the only passenger and they honored the booking. Went to the penguin place to see how they are helping sick and injured penguins. Saw yellow eyed and snare penguins. The views of Dunedin were spectacular. The weather was great which just added to the beauty of the day. Thanks for a great private tour

Russ was super great!! Informative, warm, friendly, and very helpful! He treated our little group of 8 with such Kiwi hospitality - we really enjoyed our comprehensive tour of Dunedin and surroundings - we got to see 4 yellow-eyed penguins in the wild along with the ones at Penguin Place sanctuary! He said there were none last week. We got even more lucky to see a few albatrosses at the Royal Albatross Centre and have photos to prove it!! The weather was exceptional - with a cloudless sky and temperature in the 70's. A great tour!

Russ of Tourworks NZ was amazing. He met us promptly at the docks was very welcoming and ensured we all met each other. His commentary and stops at all the local sites for photos was wonderful! Dunedin and the Otago peninsula were breath taking and the penguin sanctuary was very interesting. We actually saw a yellow eyed Penguin in its natural environment. I highly recommend this company and look forward to returning one day!!

Tremendous tour. Excellent value.

Nothing beats a small tour. Less was kind, knowledgeable and very accommodating, stopping when we wanted to take pictures, always making sure we parked near the attractions we wanted to see, and generous with time so we could see everything we had wanted to visit. Dunedin is a special city but to truely appreciate it it’s important to get well beyond city limits to appreciate its significance in the area’s development. Something we couldn’t have fully appreciated without taking this tour

The Dunedin city tour was great and to see the Otago Peninsula with the penguins as well. It was a great combination.

Lots to see!

This tour really did a good job of covering all the highlights of Dunedin. The refuge for the yellow eyed penguins was especially interesting. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the mini bus itself had relatively small windows and not very comfortable seats.

Thanks for your review. We are pleased to see you enjoyed your tour with us. Dunedin is a fantastic place to visit so it's always good to see we are delivering on our promises. Cheers Russ and Les.

Really good day, helpful driver who met us at the cruise terminal. Packed lots into the day. Started with a trip into town to see the steepest street in the world not much to see but had the opportunity to tick off the experience and could walk up if you wanted to, quick trip around the botanical gardens with good knowledge of plants. On to the castle where the views were amazing. Limited number of penguins seen but incredible to see them in their natural environment, hospital is doing a brilliant job and our guide was passionate about the work. Seals on the rocks were an unexpected bonus. Timings well organized to ensure we were back for the ship. . I would highly recommend.

We arrived in Dunedin by cruise ship and the tour operators met us in the main hall just after disembarking. This was a comprehensive tour of the city area, countryside and the gorgeous penguins on a beautiful stretch of coast. Our guide was well versed in the history of the region and this tour was very impressive. Kathy

This had the potential of being a better tour but didn't quite live up to expectations. There were several stops so we got a taste of the area but I would have liked to spend more time at, for instance, the train station. A lovely vintage building with an art gallery on the time. Art and artifacts were available for sale by different artists but not enough time was allowed for anyone to make a purchase. I believe our guide, a very amiable man, allowed 10-15 minutes, 45-60 minutes would have been more appropriate perhaps with less time spent elsewhere. I felt rushed most of the day.

This was a fabulous tour. Russell was an excellent guide. First, we did the city highlights, then to Lanarch Castle - both of which were great. The highlight for me, though, was Otago Peninsula. I saw lots of wildlife - it was so clean and green. We went to Penguin Place and had a guided tour there I saw the little blue penguins and NZ fur seals surfing the waves. There was even a penguin hospital. Next, I saw the beautiful Albatross flying in their natural environment - how good is that. A great tour and a great guide - highly recommended.

Russ tour guide-Excellent!!! We actually were the only couple on the tour. Larnach Castle-beautiful grounds, Train Station such a gorgeous facility with unbelievable tile work. So much space covered, University, Stadium, Outlooks, Albatross Center, Penguin Place, coastal ride. Unfortunately, Penguin Place can not see yellow eyed penguin close. Did see 2 penguins in recovery center. Naturalist super informed and so much knowledge.
