We arranged a private carriage tour through Palmetto Carriage to celebrate my sister-in-law’s milestone birthday. Bubba was our tour guide and Mellow Yellow was our horse. Wow - what a wonderful tour it was! Bubba is from Charleston and his love of and knowledge about his city were apparent. He took us through the oldest historic section of Charleston and we learned so much. Mellow Yellow has a wonderful temperament when many including children stopped on the street to admire his beauty. The tour owners were so accommodating. After the tour ended they brought us to our restaurant by golf cart so that we weren’t late for our dinner reservation. It made for the most PERFECT evening and a memorable birthday celebration. We highly recommend Palmetto Carriage Tours!

Excellent explanation about the influence or impact of African Slaves had on the building of Charleston, SC, the role that Charleston, SC had on receiving most of the African slaves into the US, and the role of those in the Northern states played in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

Magnificent! Guide Dave was amazing and made us feel the history and legacy! The restrictions by the city limit how much you can see on any given tour - only downside!
