From your hotel in Cancun, you’re picked up in the morning for the drive to Chichen Itza, considered the most important archaeological zone in the Yucatán.

Start your tour of significant locations at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the ball court, el Castillo (the Castle), the Pyramid of Kukulkan and Temple of the Warriors. Learn from your certified guide why the extraordinary architectural beauty and geographical location have led to Chichen Itza's designation as one of the New7Wonders of the World.

Then, stop to explore the natural wonders of a nearby cenote. Play in the deep, aquamarine waters of an underground swimming hole formed from a collapsed limestone cavern.

Head to a local restaurant for a buffet lunch of fresh salads, soups, rice, meat, chicken, fish, vegetables and other regional fare (drinks at own expense).

Stop in the “magic town” of Valladolid on the way back to Cancun for a brief tour of its town center.

Your Chichen Itza full-day tour ends with return transport to your Cancun hotel.

I lost my time and money
Maricela_Berumen

I had to pay 25 dollars more per person. we also spent 8-9 hours in the bus, the stops range from 30 to 1:30 (45 minutes with the guide) so we can do nothing with that time, PLEASE don’t do this, many people ended up really disappointed and angry for wasting time and their money!!

This tour was everything. Jesus, Mario, and the rest of the “Cancun Tour” crew (I think) were so professional and very kind. They are truly passionate about their jobs. I definitely recommend this tour. Make sure you take tip money for the tour guides and driver.

Chichen Itza and history of Mayan Culture

Our tour guide Juan was phenomenal! He knew everything about Mayan culture and shared it all with us. The other trips were okay (Mayan village, shopping, cenote, etc.). Too many shopping opportunities on these tours. I took another tour 2 days prior for Tulum and Coba and the same shopping was offered. The day was 14 hours long and could have been reduced without the shopping.

Not a good tour

The tour was ok. Trip to Chichen Itza is a little disappointing. It was too crowded, a lot of vendor inside which is a total destruction to the tour. We didn’t enjoyed the cenote because of a very short time they give us. They spent more time in souvenir store.

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The Good: the food and driver. The cenote was really refreshing. The pyramid sight was great. The Bad: the city tour was a drive by viewing. Seeing the pyramids at 1 pm means you roast and the light is bad for pics. The Ugly: the $25 pp cost for taxes was hidden in Viator and easy to see on other sites. Prices for the trip varied way too much, so most of us feel ripped off. Some even paid $20 taxes pp.

Long Day but very worth it!

We stayed at Airbnb in Cancun and they were able to pick us up at the entrance which was great! Arrived when they were supposed to and the tour began. We loved the Chichen Itzá tour, was very hot, take water, umbrella, and sunscreen as water is apparently only provided if you bought it w your ticket. The first bus that picked us up was awesome and roomy, the second one for the rest of the tour was small and uncomfortable. Wish we had more than an hour at the cenote as it was not enough time. We were literally in the water for 10-15 mins because you have to get in line for life jacket, and locker, shower and change. Tour was very informative. Didn’t like where we stopped first to eat at buffet, you were kind of forced to buy something from the shop and they didn’t have prices so I ended up spending 75 USD on 3 things. Our tour guides were awesome, pastor, cesar and Thomas. Thank you for a fun day!
