Very good tour. Although we didn't see any whales we saw (MANY) bottle nosed dolphins and sea lions. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The beach areas we went to were great.

We've often thought the Whale watching excursion should be called "an Ocean Cruise with a chance of Whales"... fortunately, there are always dolphin and sea lions and being on a boat for a couple of hours on the beautiful blue pacific is a great way to break up the time at 3 amazing beaches! A Rare Encounter

The tour company said they hadn't been able to see whales for about 2 weeks when we first boarded, which worried us. To start off we sea lions napping on a bout. We then joined a large pod of dolphins who swam beside the boat and jumped out of the water. Then we saw 2 Bryde's whales, which normally don't come up to the West Coast US because the water is too cold so they were a very rare find. There were 2 males in an apparent courtship, jumping from the water, trying to impress a female we could not see. Our guides told us that they have never seen anything like it before. At the end of the tour, they offered professional pictures which was great because I was so distracted by the whales that I forgot to take photos. Such a great tour!
