Hop aboard any of the regular daily boat departures to start your one-day independent cruise around the Whitsunday Islands. The boat crew can suggest places to see and the best activities featured on each island.

Daydream Island:

Daydream Island is considered one of the Whitsunday Islands premier resorts. With three beautiful beaches fringed by coral reef, the island has great snorkeling and swimming spots. Lounge on the sand, stroll the flat coastal paths, or take a rainforest walk where you may see wallabies and multicolored birds. A popular attraction is Living Reef Coral Lagoon — a man–made coral reef with colorful fish, stingrays and other marine critters. Play mini-golf or go swimming and snorkeling (additional activities at extra cost).

Hamilton Island:

A complimentary shuttle bus circles Hamilton Island and circles the island all day, allowing you to tour the island and hop off when you wish. At WILD LIFE Hamilton Island, where you can get up close and personal with unique Australian wildlife. Enjoy spectacular lookout points, take a dip at Catseye Beach, or check out boutiques and galleries at Marina Village and the waterfront.

Fast Service

The ferry service was great! They run on time and really hustle. If you are on a cruise and want to do this as an excursion, I would see how much just one ferry costs because there is hardly enough time to do more than one Island while on shore from a cruise. Hamilton Island was amazing but it is the furthest Island. I would only do that Island. The ferry departs and stops at Daydream Island first Then continues to Hamilton. There are not a lot of Direct Ferries from Hamilton to Daydream or back to Airlie Beach. There is a lot of lost time. I would pick one Island and plan your day around that.

We got to see the islands so that was good. Theses islands are very commercialized but an okay trip.

We bought the hopper pass but enjoyed Daydream Island so much we never hopped to Hamilton Island. Gorgeous views, pools, snorkeling, watching fish feeding and a relaxed atmosphere made for a VERY RELAXED day.

It was good to have the pass and meant we were able to relax in the knowledge we didn't need to queue for tickets and that our travel that day was secured. Being new to the area it was very reassuring.

We had bad experience during the trip. One day hopper pass should be leaving from port of Airlie not Abel point! Because of the wrong information, we went to Abel point and paid the parking fee and it was wasting our time.
