An excellent learning experience. David made this event interesting and fun. We explored the Valpolicella (sic) region, and learned about making V. Classico and V. Superior wines and Amarone preparation. The group was small (6) and friendly. We visited one winery and tasted its excellent wines. A great experience.

Our guide, who also worked for a vineyard and also had associated qualifications, was extremely knowledgeable and took us on an excellent guided tour of the area before visiting a winery. The family run winery hosted a tasting session of four wines accompanied with bread, cheese and meats. The quality and quantity of the wine was very good.

Ilaria was a great driver and navigator, with great insight and information on the way to the winery. I would recommend this. Rick from Ontario Canada

My husband and I took the wine tour and there was only one other couple with us. Our tour guide was Laura, who was very knowledgeable and personable. The winery that we went to was beautiful and we learned so much. The wine was delicious, too!

Pagus Wine Tours® - A taste of Valpolicella - Half day wine tour
Pagus Wine Tours was so much fun. They took us to a picturesque privately owned winery that produces roughly 25,000 bottles of wine a year. They go to big places too, but our tour was of a "smaller" place. The hillside was right out of a movie and we really lucked out being the only 2 people there. Illaria was our Pagus tour guide and she was extremely knowledgeable of the area as well. She even showed us a church at the top of the mountain that was a pagan temple before being converted to a Roman Catholic church. She knew the history of it!! the wine was fantastic and the owner that walked us through the 5 varieties was the best. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Beautiful scenery, great wine and the people were the best.

A Terrific Day in the Hills above Verona

Pagus Wine Tours® - A taste of Valpolicella - Half day wine tour
This was a great day. Our guide, Laura, knew about wine, the countryside, history and had a pleasing personality. We visited a small village on the way to the winery. A wedding was being held in the village church and we got to see the flowers and all the ladies getting things ready. We missed the bride by minutes. We saw a working winery at harvest time and were told all about the process. We then went to their tasting room and had cheese and meat and bread while tasting some very nice wines. It was a wonderful day and I would suggest it to anyone who loves wine and seeing new areas. The views from the hills were stunning. One caveat: We had to walk up hill to the church and if someone has trouble walking, it would not be easy.
