BEST TOUR & TOUR GUIDE
Fernando was amazing! More than what was expected. He was punctual with the pick up location and brought snacks & coffee. On the way to the Volcano he told us many facts & history of El Salvador. He was attentive and informative. The hike up to the summit was an adventure but so much fun because Fernando had us laughing the entire time. We felt accomplished when we reached the top because the view was amazing! I would go on any tour with Fernando again! Felt safe at all times.

Very good itinerary, Joshua is very knowledgeable of the Mayan ruins and Santa Ana city. The lunch restaurant with lake view is excellent. The fish is very delicious too.

Ilamatepec Santa Ana Volcano Early Hike + Relax/Lunch in Lake Coatepeque!
Fernando was the perfect guide. He arrived to our hotel early with coffee and snacks which was so nice. He made sure we had water and that the hike was going at a comfortable pace. We are fast hikers and he was happy to go fast with us, but we really appreciated him checking in on us. He also knew the best picture spots and took some great photos of us. His thoughtfulness continued to show all day - on the way to the lake, he stopped to get us pupusas since we hadn’t tried them yet. Sometimes it can be awkward hanging out with a stranger all day but it felt like spending the day with a good friend. He was very knowledge about El Salvador and other Central American countries. We would recommend him to anyone visiting the country, and we were so disappointed to have only found him on our last day. We would have booked several more tours with him!

Too expensive, excellent driver, overall a worthy experience but needs to be at more affordable price.

Santa Ana Volcano Hiking Tour + Coatepeque Lake Sightseeing
This was overall a great experience, however I think it's far too costly for what it is. The driver was on time, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend him and it made it a nice experience. My complaint though is that it's unclear what kind of tour of this is (group or private, mine was private but I wasn't sure), and it's simply too expensive. It's mostly just a car hire with a driver. If I would do it again I would rent a car and do it myself, because you can hire a guide at the trailhead (which is what happened in this case anyway), or find a more affordable group tour.

Fantastic day trip. Osmaro picked us up at our hotel on time and the adventure began. It’s a vigorous hike to the top of the Santa Ana volcono but the views of the lake in the crater are spectacular.

Santa Ana Volcano Hiking Tour + Coatepeque Lake Sightseeing
The hike was great, the views were great and the small talks about the vegetation and history of surrounding volcanoes was great too. Our excursion said we had a boxed lunch included, which there was not. Instead we were taken to a restaurant by the lake where we had to pay for our lunch and have musicians come to our table to try and make extra coin. I thought we would actually take a walk around the lake, or at least go near it, but it was just a lake side lunch that was provided in terms of “lake viewing included” on this tour. The guide was great.

Had a great experience on this tour! Irving was a wonderful guide. The hotel pickup was very convenient and was very prompt as well. Irving had a lot to share about El Salvador and the volcano itself. We had a great lunch with a view of the lake. The hike can be a little difficult at times but take your time, and you will make it up in 1hr 15 - 2hrs depending on fitness levels. Would recommended to anyone that is looking to explore the nature of El Salvador.

Santa Ana Volcano Tour Adventure Early Hike + Coatepeque Lake visit and swim
I absolutely loved this tour. It was very intimate. It was me, my bf and the tour guide. We were picked up from our hotel in San Salvador. Our guide Osmaro was prompt, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Me and my bf are fairly active, but the hike gave us a run for our money. Round trip it took about 4 hours, but it was well worth it. Absolutely amazing views. If you can get the earliest departure do so. We started our hike at 7:30 and had the place to ourselves to take pics. On our way down we noticed tons of people coming up. Afterwards we had lunch at a nice spot overlooking the lake.
