One of the best museums we’ve ever been too. Lots of interactive features, the mini theaters throughout were great. We loved getting to see Washington’s War Tent and learning more about the Indigenous people. Also really appreciated the attention to sharing the full stories, including acknowledging the faults and flaws of our country & recognizing the people of color that played an incredibly important but often overlooked role in our history.

This was one of the best history experiences imaginable. Everything was well done... scope, objectivity, visual presentation and content. We spent 5 hours and got a fuller understanding of the revolution. I strongly recommend the museum for anyone that wants to understand the importance of the seminal period in the history of the USA.

Warmly greeted when we arrived. Saw the special exhibit “Flags and Founding Documents” we never realized there were so many “versions” of the flag. But our hands down favorite exhibit was “Washington’s War Tent” that was amazing to see!! All the exhibits were informative and interesting to see. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re coming to Philadelphia to get your history on!

The American Revolution museum was incredible. We had my husband and myself, along with our 9 year older son. Each one of us enjoyed the exhibits and had new learning to take away. We especially enjoyed seeing Washington’s tent and reading more about the key players and other groups of people affected by the war. Being from the South, we really enjoyed reading about how the war affected the South.

The Washington War Tent was incredible so was the docent in the hall who stayed afterwards to tell us the story of the minister who bought the tent but sold pieces of it as relics and also taught us about the Navy Flag display and the messaging! We loved her!
