Our ultimate goal at Quiksilver Bali Surf Academy is to bring our customers a fun, relaxed and professional surfing adventure. We opened in June 2016 and bring over 25 years of both professional and surf industry experience through Australian ex-surfing professional Holly Monkman and her husband local Balinese pioneer Made Switra. We promise to provide our customers much smaller and more focused surf lessons, with one coach to every four students as well as a maximum of 12 students per lesson. Our coaching staffs are all trained and certified under the ISA, meaning they are trained professional like all other western surf schools. We also make sure all of our coaches are passionate surfers, confident ocean swimmers and practice surf safety in all of our surfing services, be it a surf lesson or a Surfaris Boat tour.

When I´m teaching my clients surfing I always want them to enjoy it and have fun and I make them feel welcome. Based on my experiences it also help my client not to panic. I´m offering private lessons with professional and experienced istructor for complete begginers (1 instructor 1 client). This allows me to give you personal attention, safety, feedback for improving your surfind and of course buddy system. For intermediate, advanced surfers I´m as well offering to be their guid in different surf spots around Bali. I will show you different types of waves, diffrent breaks and I will teach you how to get behind the breaking point safely and how to catch the waves. If it is necessary I will correct your style. All of that may affect to becoming a better surfer or improving your skills.

The Surf Lessons are offered 7 days a week all year round. We find the best location depending on tides and the surf break conditions choosing the best spot on the Bukit’s peninsula of Bali for every lesson. You will find infinite waves in this surfer's paradise.

We are the first surf gym in Bali. The highly intense training, just 35 minutes for each session, you will love it.

On this lesson I will guide with getting a surfboard that matches your needs. If you have never surfed before, we will make sure you practice the important steps like paddling and pop-up on the actual board you will use afterwards. Followed by a theory session about the ocean, surf etiquette and safety in the water. Although if you have surfed before we will start wherever you feel comfortable with. After warming-up the body and a little recap of what we have learned, we will head to the water to practice. My main goal is to make you able to go and catch waves on your own, making sure that you gain as much knowledge and confidence as possible during the class. Truly, there is no place like the Ocean and being able to surf on it. Paddling out to the line-up, feeling the power of the water moving, riding along a beautiful green wall is what freedom and happiness mean to me. Sharing this experience with you is what I am here for.
